"I just received my order today. The handmade glass ball ornaments are more beautiful than they looked on your Website. I have used them in an arrangement of all glass balls in a large brushed steel bowl adjacent to a Kandinsky print with the same colors! They look fantastic! Thanks again for the lovely ornaments, I will definitely use your company as a resource in the future!" James from NC. |
"Just wanted to tell you how grateful I am for my order. I was in tears of excitement at how beautiful they are. I will definitely be ordering again!" Mary from IL.
"I am very happy with my purchase and have been showing off my ornaments to everyone here at work. I cannot wait to put them on the tree! I looked everywhere for family of 14 and finally found your site! I will be back!" Evelyn from VA. |
![]() Spring buds in Acadia Photo by Beverly Bono | After a long Maine winter, spring is a wonderful thing! Both Mainers and visitors to our island are out and about enjoying sunny daytime temperatures in the 50's, greening grass, budding trees, and colorful wildflowers. This week, there's a burst of activity in the village of Bar Harbor too, as local schools are closed for their spring break. Lots of "day trippers" (Maine visitors from around the state) are joining other tourists from around the country, to shop, eat, and sit in the sun on one of the many benches along downtown streets, in the Village Green, and in Agamont Park overlooking Bar Harbor's waterfront. Our Christmas SpiritŪ Shop re-opened for its 20th year on Friday, April 17 along with several other shops that had closed for the winter. |
| On Saturday, April 18, Bar Harbor's College of the Atlantic celebrated Earth Day with a full-day festival of booths, concerts, and speakers. From April 18 through 26, Acadia National Park is hosting a weeklong celebration of National Park Week, with various events being held throughout the park in honor of Mother Earth's beautiful creations. And on April 25, our island residents will celebrate Earth Day with Friends of Acadia by helping keep our roadsides clean! Every year, hundreds of volunteers gather to collect trash from area roads. Last year, nearly 400 people collected more than 8,500 pounds of garbage. We're sprucing up our island for our own enjoyment, and for over 2 million expected visitors this season. Come visit us this year. You can easily plan your trip on our Chamber's Website at www.BarHarborMaine.com. |
