Samantha, Christmas SpiritŪ's mascot, is everyone's favorite friend and unconditional confidant. She's our "therapy dog" who always listens to our problems, and often turns them into unforeseen opportunities for us. "One door closes, and another one opens," is her philosophy. And, yes, she often opens her own doors of opportunity, by herself, with a determined nose nudge or predominant paw push, as if to say, "Don't let anything get in your way!" Thanks, Samantha, for your words of wisdom. They work wonders for all of us. |

"We just received our order and wanted to say thank you. My sisters and I unexpectedly lost our mother in September 2005, and our father in 1990, and I came across the Merry Christmas from Heaven ornament and ordered five of them in pewter to keep our parents close to our hearts. The ornaments are beautiful, and each of us will display them on a single pewter ornament hanger so the ornament will proudly and beautifullly stand alone. Thank you so much." Liz from CA. |
"I just received my order and have been so excited about getting these ornaments! I just love them... Thank you so much for doing such a great job! I am just imagining the joy on everyone's face when they open their own personalized Christmas ornament! These are wonderful Christmas gifts that will be cherished for years to come." Kelly from TX.
"Thank you! We have recently added to our family with our baby turtle Marvin. I searched everywhere for a cute turtle ornament for his first Christmas... no luck until I found your site! I received the ornament today (super quick) and its adorable. Thanks again!" Cindy from CA. |
![]() Spring thaw on the ponds in Acadia Photo by Beverly Bono | The birds are singing because spring officially arrived last week to our island. But, Mainers know that usually doesn't apply to them, as snow is still on the ground. It can snow here in Downeast Maine as late as the first part of April. Of course, when it does snow here in late March or early April, it melts away much quicker than a February snowfall. We do, however, get spring "teaser days" which are sunny and mild for a short time, followed by a return to cold winter weather. By late April, this roller coaster weather pattern finally settles down to our spring season, which we all welcome with a great sigh of relief. We can finally put away our snow shovels and winter coats, and get outdoors to enjoy the long awaited season of nature's re-birth. |
| After a long, cold, and snowy winter, spring is nature's gift to us, and many of you will soon be coming to Bar Harbor to enjoy it with us. We're getting ready now to welcome you when you arrive. Our Christmas SpiritŪ Shop opens April 18 for the 2009 tourist season. Come if you can, but if you can't, our Website is always open at www.ChristmasSpiritShop.com. Have a great spring, and Happy Easter! |
