One artist created a line of angels and princesses to add to the snowmen and mittens already available. Just type the letters “OOI-T” in the Search box on any page of our Website to see the selection.
Many grandparents have a tradition of giving their grandchildren ornaments every year with their name and the year printed on it. The grandchildren look forward to it, but as the years go by the number of grandchildren and often great grandchildren grows. To keep the cost of gift giving down, several of our artists have created more simple, inexpensive versions of their more popular styles.

But when it comes to family, especially grandchildren, there is nothing better than an ornament or wall plaque with all their family member’s names on it.

Traditionally it is hard to buy gifts for Grandparents because they seem to have everything and are at a point in their lives where they are giving away rather than acquiring “things”. They are often “downsizing” and have little space, sometimes not even putting up a Christmas tree.

When it comes to ornaments for large groups, our customers tell us they are VERY difficult to find. That’s why we’ve asked some of our artists to expand their designs. We specialize in ornaments for large groups of people. Since families come in all sizes and colors, we even have faces with skin tones to match. Whether you are selecting an ornament for both grandma and grandpa or just one grandparent, we have a large selection.

Our ornaments can accommodate groups with up to 40 members. We have faces with light, medium and dark skin tones, and we can build your ornament to match your diverse family or business group. For ornaments with an item number beginning with the letters “CARR", just specify skin tones in step #3 when personalizing your ornament.

The larger group ornaments are a popular idea for teachers. Often the parents get together and give their children’s teacher an ornament representing an entire class. Good backgrounds for the students’ faces include the traditional apple, schoolhouse, pencil and Christmas tree. Names on each of the faces help capture the classroom of students forever. Remember that faces on ornaments coded with the letters “CARR” come in 3 different skin tones to match the diversity of the students.

For a personal gift from a student to a favorite teacher, an apple picture frame ornament might be just right. We can personalize the ornament with the student’s name and year, then you can attach a school picture to the back. Picture ornaments make a fond memory that become more treasured as the child grows up.

When you decorate your Christmas tree this year, we’d love to get pictures of your traditional tree. Here’s one sent to us by Yolanda from Arizona. She collects birds created by one of our carvers and displays them on a Manzanita Branch.

A tradition that really makes gift-giving easy is people who collect items with a specific theme, like Santas, Snowmen or more unusual things like pigs, monkeys or cows. Our Website is organized so you can easily find a selection of ornaments by theme. Either the Navigation Bar or the Search box will help you in your quest. You can find a quick overview of the Website by going to the Site Map. The link is at the very bottom of the Navigation Bar on every page.

CHRISTMAS SPIRIT®'S SAMANTHA

In November and December Samantha spends much of her time patiently (and sometimes not so patiently) “waiting” among the ornaments while Santa’s elves are busy, often late into the night, personalizing, boxing and packing customer orders. Needless to say, it isn’t one of her favorite times of the year because everyone is too busy to play with her. She’s happy just to get an apple core when she joins the elves for lunch (or dinner).

But the highlight of her day is when our UPS man, Dave, comes. After helping him load the packages into his truck, he gives her a cookie, sometimes more than one! Sam wants to encourage you to order early for purely selfish reasons…she’s getting too old to stay up past midnight processing orders. Happy Thanksgiving!

After the shop closes for the day, she spends time peaking out the front door, hoping for a passerby of the canine variety.

WEBSITE NEWS YOU CAN USE

ORDER MORE...PAY LESS
This year, to help you with your ordering costs, we reduced the purchase level for free shipping from $75 to $50. To make it easy to determine how far away your order total is from receiving FREE standard shipping, WORLDWIDE, we’ve added a "COUNTDOWN to FREE SHIPPING" feature. Here’s how it works. As you put items into your shopping cart, the counter below your cart calculates how much more you need to spend to receive the savings of FREE SHIPPING, WORLDWIDE. Often, just adding one more item to your cart saves more in shipping than the price of the extra item.

In the illustrated example, you save the $8.95 in shipping costs by spending another $7.75 on merchandise. This means your total order costs you $1.20 LESS if you buy more! You spend $54.45, not $55.65. What could be better than that?

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

"Just wanted to let you know how much I LOVE the ornament. I received the ornament today. It's a tradition to give my son a new ornament every year on his birthday in November for him to have for the Christmas tree in Dec. He's 29 years old and I try to make each ornament pertain to something currently going on in his life or to something he did this year. He got a new job this year and the ornament I ordered is PERFECT for this year's ornament. Thanks so much!" B from KY. "I've been ordering your ornaments since Christmas 1998. As I mention every year, the ornaments remind us of our family's history. It's a fun part of our Christmas tradition. Thanks for your quality product!" Eric from NY.
"I love your website. I've been ordering since 2006, and love every single ornament I've received. I have given some of these ornaments out to others, they make such wonderful gifts! It's been a tradition of ours now to make a new ornament every year for our family. I love seeing what is new on the website, and I daydream over ornaments even when it's not close to Christmas!" Alexandria from MI.

ISLAND UPDATE

In November, the town quiets down. Our last cruise ship arrived on November 1st. The park is still open and there are enough shops, restaurants and lodging for the visitors who come to our area this more quiet time of year. It is always a good idea to call ahead to check the hours before heading into town. Contact the Bar Harbor Chamber’s website, www.barharbormaine.com for what’s open.

The highlight of the month comes this year on November 21, the Saturday before Thanksgiving. The Chamber of Commerce holds their annual PAJAMA SALE, which has been a tradition for the last 15 years. Many merchants, even some that have closed for the season, reopen from 6am to 9am. Customers who shop those hours get a discount on purchases and an extra discount if they shop in their PJ’s. The streets are crowded with people and the morning ends with a costume parade and a bed race. We participate and will be open that Saturday from 6 am to 5 pm.
We anticipate our hours in November and December to be 10am-5pm, Monday –Saturday and 12-4pm on Sunday. Just to be sure, call to check before heading into town. 207-288-8168 or 800-242-2913.
