THANK YOU for Supporting the SPCA

Scarlet, a Red Lab up for adoption

Many of our shop customers have dropped their change into our donation jar for the Society for Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (SPCA). Others have dropped their empty bottles and cans into our SPCA collection box, which we redeem for additional donations. Your generosity allows us to support our local SPCA with hundreds of dollars each year. Thank you for your generosity.

Beverly Bono, Co-Owner of Christmas Spirit®, is volunteering her Monday mornings this year to our local SPCA. She cleans kennels, walks the dogs, and provides loving pats and chats. Pictured here is Scarlet, one of Beverly's friends up for adoption.

ISLAND UPDATE

The Queen was Here Twice This Season

Bar Harbor enjoyed one of the busiest cruise ship seasons ever, with more than two-thirds of the 119 cruise ship visits arriving in September and October. Nearly every day, thousands of passengers and crew disembarked to visit Bar Harbor and Acadia National Park. Many were "leaf peepers" who watched our leaves shift from summer green to autumnal red, yellow, and orange.

The Queen Mary 2 dropped anchor in Bar Harbor on September 24th. She's the largest ship of the season at 1,132 feet in length, and room for 2,600 passengers and 1,253 crew members. The Queen Mary 2 returned to Bar Harbor on October 24th. She's a perennial favorite among both locals and visitors to our island. Long live the Queen!

CUSTOMER TESTIMONIALS

"This past October, my husband and I purchased one of the Christmas Tree "ornaments" with 50 smiling elf faces on it as a Christmas present for my parents. This was just our immediate family. Well not only did my parents and family just love it, they feel we need to order another ornament for any additions to the family! My mom has put the ornament in a shadow box and it is going to be displayed year-round." Terri from NH. "I just received the Blue Jay ornament I ordered (a gift from my kids to my mom aka "Grandma Blue Jay"). It is AMAZING!! I just love it, it feels like a one of a kind piece and is really something special. I know that my mother will treasure it forever." Sandie from NY.
"Just wanted to say thank you. My order was received promptly and I was very pleased with my purchase. I was especially excited when you were able to change the color of the clothing on one of the ornaments. My daughter will be thrilled! Thanks again." Debbie from IL.
